PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a traffic load, etc., during log collection by improving log compression efficiency. SOLUTION: A mask data generating part 220 generates mask data 103 representing a part that is common to a log record. A mask processing part 230 masks each log record in a log file 101 with the mask data 103 to generate a mask log file 104. A compression processing part 240 compresses the mask log file 104 to generate a compression log file 106. A log transmitting part 250 transmits the compression log file 106 and the mask data 103. A decompression processing part 320 decompresses the compression log file 106 to obtain the mask log file 104.
