PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant protection material for avoiding a double-layered structure of a plant protection material with a bag and a middle member. SOLUTION: This plant protection material is used for protecting plants from tread pressure of people and cars. The plant protection material is such that a plurality of ribs are installed in a plane so as to connect intersection points, a hollow pillar-like member with a closed upper end is protrudingly installed on the intersection point of the rib, a rod-like member rising on the hollow part of the pillar-like member from the intersection point of the rib penetrates to the closed upper end of the pillar-like member, and the hollow part of the pillar-like member opens on the lower end from an interspace between the rib and the rod-like member.
