摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure optimal communication quality by determining the start of handover at an optimal timing, regarding a mobile station in a mobile communication system employing an array antenna and a handover control method. SOLUTION: A mobile station includes: a measuring section 1-3 for calculating a weighting coefficient to optimize qualities of communication between a handover source base station and a handover destination base station, respectively, and measuring the communication qualities; first and second storage sections 1-4 and 1-5 for storing weighting coefficient to optimize the qualities of the communication between the handover source base station and the handover destination base station, and the communication qualities; a comparing section 1-6 for detecting that the communication quality for the handover destination base station stored in the second storage section 1-5 is higher than the communication quality for the handover source base station stored in the first storage section 1-4 by a predetermined threshold or more; and a control section 1-7 for controlling the start of handover based on a detection result of the comparing section 1-6.
