PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cordless iron that achieves efficient ironing by moving in both front and back directions. SOLUTION: The cordless iron includes an iron body 1 and a stand 16 to place the iron body 1. The iron 1 provided with a base 3 that is heated by a heater 2, includes: a concave power receiving part 14 in the rear section thereof; and a power receiving terminal 15 in the power receiving part 14. The stand 16 provided with a placing part 17 that places the base 3 such that the front of the base 3 is inclined upwardly, includes: a projecting power supplying part 18 that fits to the power receiving part 14; an electrode 20 that connects to the power receiving terminal 15, in the power supplying part 18; and a storing part 24 that stores a rear end part of the base 3, in the lower part of the power supplying part 18, whereby the connection part between the power receiving terminal 15 and the electrode 20 is located forward from the rear end part of the base 3 when the iron 1 is placed on the stand 16.
