In general, the invention concerns the field of seismic prospection. In particular, the invention concerns a generator of seismic rotational waves, a measuring device based on the principle of a rotational seismic sensor system and the method of seismic measurement, using the generator together with the rotational seismic sensor system. Seismic measurements using the generator and rotational seismic sensor system enable seismic prospection employing rotational ground motion, which helps to determined rock structure at depth more precisely. The specific object of the invention is the generator of rotational seismic waves, which comprises a fixed part for anchoring in the ground, a revolving part, a braking mechanism for instantaneous stopping of the revolving part, and optionally a motor and/or control unit. The invention also concerns the rotational seismic sensor system, which comprises one or more pairs of parallel identical seismic sensors, each sensor pair being fixed to a non-deformable frame. The subject-matter of the invention is also the seismic measurement set, which comprises the generator and at least one sensor of rotational seismic motion, preferably the rotational seismic sensor system as described in the present application. The invention also involves the method of seismic prospection, using the set according to the invention, preferably with a computer program for controlling the activity of the set, data collection and data processing. |
