<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce processing load when analyzing a compressed structured document. <P>SOLUTION: When a structure channel in a structured document 141 is compressed, the structured document analysis device decompresses the structure channel. The structured document analysis device creates an event list 125 including structure information (events) of the structured document 141 and reference information (block numbers, channel numbers, value numbers) for referring to values, and notifies an application program about contents thereof.
