PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an identification photograph taking device capable of reducing a risk that a reader/writer for a contactless IC card is taken away by a suspicious person. SOLUTION: The identification photograph taking device 10 includes a box body 11, and an inner wall 20 provided to form a housing space 16 and a photographing space 15 in the box body 11. The inner wall 20 is provided with a photographing window 21, an operation unit 22, an illumination unit 23 and the reader/writer for the contactless IC card 30. The reader/writer for the contactless IC card 30 is attached to the inner wall 20 so that its photographing space side surface 30a may not project from a photographing space side surface 20d of the inner wall 20.
