Disclosed is a windmill rotary vane wherein the buckling strength for a load in the edge direction is improved, the safety factor of the buckling strength is brought closer to the safety factor of the material strength, and the weight is further reduced. A windmill rotary vane (5) has an outer coat element (11) composed of fiber-reinforced plastic, shear webs (15), and trailing edge sandwich elements (14) which are closer to a trailing edge (18) than the shear webs (15). The portion of the outer coat element (11) or the trailing edge sandwich element on the back side in the vicinity of the trailing edge end, which is closer to the trailing edge (18) than the trailing edge end of the trailing edge sandwich element (14), is coupled to the portion of the outer case element (11) or the trailing edge sandwich element on the front side in the vicinity of the trailing edge end, which is closer to the trailing edge (18) than the trailing edge end of the trailing edge sandwich element (14), via a reinforcing element (19).
