PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forgery prevention medium which has a structure of easily obtaining a forgery prevention medium having a copy prevention function, and to provide a simple method for producing the forgery prevention medium.

SOLUTION: The forgery prevention medium 10 has optically functional layers 1, 2 formed with a pattern and a reflection layer 4 in this order on a supporting base material 3. The optically functional layers 1, 2 are composed of a plurality of mutually different areas each having optical anisotropy formed by a plurality of fine cracks in a definite direction in the layer surface.
