<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device overcoming the problems of shortening warming up time and temperature follow-up, along with an image forming apparatus of an electrophotographic method using the fixing device. <P>SOLUTION: A press roller 20 is moved in the direction in a top section of a drawing (direction of arrow U) and the press roller 20 is brought into a pressurized contact with a heat roller 10. Then, a circular flange member 12 which is an elastic body is pressed down by the pressing force and a metal core 11 and a heat roller surface member 13 are brought into a direct contact in the fixing nip section N. As a result, the heat of the metal core 11 which is heated by a halogen lamp 15 is directly transmitted to the heat roller surface member 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
