PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map display device enabling a user, when two maps of different corresponding time are superposed and displayed, to easily comprehend the time corresponding to a building of interest, a road of interest, or the like. SOLUTION: The map display device 1 includes: a map data setter for setting the time and the scale corresponding to a first map to be the base, and the time and the scale corresponding to a second map superposed on the first map; a display condition setter 132 for setting a first unification color unifying the color of dots, lines, and sections constituting the first map, a second unification color, which is different from the first unification color, for unifying the color of dots, lines, and sections constituting the second map, and a prescribed transmissivity for making the dots, lines, and sections constituting the second map transmissive; a map data acquisition unit 133 for acquiring map data of each of the first map and the second map; a display control unit 134 for creating a map image 60 on the basis of the set display position of the map, each acquired map data, the unification color, and the transmissivity; and a display unit 11 for displaying the map image.
