PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast recording device for mitigating a burden of a user by automatically executing a follow-up recording function even when a program broadcast plan changes after program reservation. SOLUTION: When there is a program reservation for recording in the same channel, time period, and day of the week, the broadcast recording device obtains the electronic program table and searches for a program matching the program name and channel of the reserved program from the electronic program table. When the program matched is found as a result of search in a different time period of the same day as the reserved program, the time period for reservation of recording is changed to the time period of the program matched only in the week wherein the program matched is found. When the program matched is found as a result of search in a day of the week different from that reserved for recording, the day and time period for reservation of recording are changed to the day and time period of the program matched in the week where the program matched is found and in the subsequent weeks.
