PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To review components of a magnetic contactor, such as an operation power supply, an exciting coil, and a control system, to reduce power consumption, facilitate miniaturization and cost cut, increase reliability, and achieve the same effect even for control operations using a PLC, etc. SOLUTION: A single operation power supply is provided for power supply to a plurality of magnetic contactor contact units. Each contact unit includes one exciting coil by which an exciting power is switched depending on closing or holding of contact. The magnetic contactor has a magnetic contactor control unit which controls the magnetic contactor contact units to switch the exciting power based on a closing completion signal and has a control unit that carries out control for switching on and off.
