DISK DRIVE SUPPORTING INTERFACE BY DATA SECTOR DIFFERENT IN SIZE, AND BACKUP METHOD FOR USER DATA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent disappearance of non-rewrite-data in power source disconnection in write-processing, in a disk drive that supports an interface by a data sector having a different size. SOLUTION: An HDD supports two data sectors that differ in size, in an interface. The data sector on a magnetic disk is a large size data sector. The HDD receives a write-command by a small-sized data sector from a host; and when a boundary of the specified address (rewrite region) does not coincide with the boundary of a large-sized data sector, the HDD performs backup processing of the user data.
