<p>The invention relates to a process for preparing a fuel for internal combustion engines. According to the invention, the process consists in separating the cellulose fractions by autohydrolysis with steam under a pressure of 50...70 barr, catalyzed by acid at a pH value of 2...4, a temperature of 190...220°C, after which the hemicellulose-containing liquid phase is separated and the glucidic fractions contained in the solid phase are hydrolyzed by impregnation, in two stages, with diluted sulphuric acid in a concentration of 2% and 15%, respectively, the liquid glucidic phases resulting from autohydrolysis and the two hydrolysis stages being then subjected to fermentation for 36...96 h with Saccharomyces cerevisiae, at a pH value of 4...6 and a temperature of 30...40°C, thereby resulting a bioethanol fuel.</p> |
