PURPOSE: A device for controlling tension of a steel wire cable is provided to easily measure and control tension applied to the steel wire cable without a separate device or an external power source. CONSTITUTION: A device for controlling tension of a steel wire cable comprises a strand(60), a coil(120), a tension output unit(130), a power supply unit and a control unit. The strand comprises a magnetism-sensitive member(110). The coil is wound on the strand. The coil passes current, which is generated by the change of magnetic filed due to the tension change of the magnetism-sensitive member. The tension output unit draws the coil. The tension output unit outputs tension applied to the strand by current flowing through the coil according to the tension change of the magnetism-sensitive member. The power supply unit changes the tension of the magnetism-sensitive member. The power supply unit supplies the power to the coil.
