CRUCIBLE MADE OF TUNGSTEN, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAPPHIRE SINGLE CRYSTAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crucible made of tungsten having excellent high temperature strength, in particular high temperature strength of a corner part interconnecting a bottom part and a side wall part.

SOLUTION: The crucible 1 made of tungsten includes tungsten of 99.9% or more of purity, and has a bottomed cylindrical shape in which the bottom part 2 and the side wall part 3 are interconnected via the corner part 4 and an upper part is opened. In the tungsten, the percentage of the particle numbers of tungsten crystal grains having≥10μm and≤100μm of a grain size is 90% or more. The crucible 1 is manufactured by a sintering process and HIP sintering.
