BAND MANAGEMENT METHOD, BAND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, SESSION CONTROL SERVER DEVICE, EDGE ROUTER, AND HOME GATEWAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently utilize resources with ensured quality of communication regardless of the presence of SIP (Session Initiation Protocol).

SOLUTION: There is disclosed a band management method for managing bands in an access network in which sessions are established using SIP or without using SIP. The method includes: a securing step for securing a bandwidth necessary for communication without using the SIP as a fixed allocation band; a determination step which, each time a request is made to establish communication using SIP, determines whether the requested bandwidth can be secured or not within a range of a bandwidth obtained by subtracting the fixed allocation band secured in the security step from an upper limit bandwidth of the access network; and a permission step which, when the determination step determines that the requested bandwidth can be secured, permits reception of the requested bandwidth.
