PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a telephone call operation by a communication terminal device utilizing address book data stored/managed in/by a server of a thin client system. SOLUTION: By operating an address book button of a cell-phone (terminal), the terminal unique ID, a connection request command and a starting instruction command of an address book application are transmitted to a server apparatus; in the server apparatus, address book data controlled corresponding to terminal unique IDs are retrieved and a screen of the address book list is created to be transferred/displayed to/on the terminal; a region indicating intended telephone number is selected by means of a cursor on the screen of the address book list displayed on the terminal thereby the region designated by the cursor is determinately displayed through a processing by the server apparatus based on this key operation signal; by operating a call/incoming call button, character recognition corresponding to the region designated by the cursor on the screen of the address book list is performed in the server apparatus, and call data are generated according to a numerical code of this telephone number for which character recognition is performed and are transferred to the terminal for executing the call.
