PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording device and an information recording method, by which user-friendliness can be further improved. SOLUTION: The information recording device (100) includes an input module (110) for inputting content, an encoder (141) for encoding the content thus input, a recording module (160) for recording the encoded content, and a plurality of transducers (143, 145) for transcoding the recorded content. The information recording device detects CMs and scene changes from the content which thus input and further detects dividing points based on the CM detected points and the scene change detected points. Then, the information recording device divides the content recorded by the recording module based on the dividing points detected and outputting the divided content to transcoders different from one another.
