PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ECD (Electron Capture Detector) detector of a long cleaning cycle. SOLUTION: This electron capture detector 10 includes a radiation source 11 of radioactive isotope, a rod-like collector electrode 12 inserted from a cell chamber top 13a, an exhaust port 13f formed in the cell chamber top 13a, and a gas introduction hole 13e that is formed in a cell chamber bottom 13d and inserts the end of a column 17 into a cell chamber, and makes makeup gas flow into the cell chamber. The exhaust port is disposed on the extension of the axis of the column 17, the collector electrode 12 is set to be attached to an offset position separated from the extension of the axis of the column, and the flow of gas flowing out of the column is separated from the collector electrode.
