PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve uniform sealing by preventing formation of a clearance in sealing surfaces between a cylinder head and a cylinder head cover. SOLUTION: This sealing structure between the cylinder head 132A and the head cover 133A includes a gasket 82 interposed in a fastening surface 79 between the cylinder head 132A and the head cover 133A. The gasket 82 is pushed to the sealing surface 83 on the side of the cylinder head and the sealing surface 84 on the side of the head cover by the tightening force of bolts 85, and also is composed of a projecting portion 82B formed on the gasket 82 and a recessed groove 91 formed in the head cover 133A in order to fit the projecting portion 82B, and a swelling portion 86 with a part of the fastening surface 79 projecting toward the side of the head cover 133A is formed. The thickness of the gasket 82 or the depth of the recessed groove 91 corresponding to the swelling portion 86 is adjusted so that the deformation amount of the gasket 82 with respect to a tightening load applied to the fastening surface 79 is uniformed.
