<p>The invention relates to a radial-axial ball bearing with discontinuous radial stiffness meant to be used within machine-tools, installations for lifting and handling loads and also within some applications using small loads and high speeds. According to the invention, the bearing comprises an inner ring (1), one of the outer rings (2, 3 or 4) and a row of balls (5), at least the inner ring (1) or the one of the used outer rings (2, 3 or 4) being provided with three races which come into contact successively with the balls (5), with a race, with two races, and finally with all the three races depending on the radial loading, the inner ring (1) having three races (6, 7 and 8) with the profile in arc of a circle, with the radius larger than the radius of the ball (5), of which the first two races ( 6 and 7) are placed on either sides of the ball (5) and symmetrical in relation to the symmetry plane (I-I) of the row of balls (5) and a race (8) symmetrically arranged between the first two races (6 and 7).</p> |
