The catheter (10) has a tube (12) and an inner element (14) which is arranged within the tube. A formable fabric element (16) extends with respect to the inner element and the tube in axial direction and surrounds the inner element. The fabric element has a flexible metal braiding and is auto-reversible from a deformation state during the traction release, i.e. it passes over automatically into the initial conditional, where the deformation state is under the influence of the traction force.
