The invention relates to a fan impeller (10) which includes a hub (14) capable of being driven about an axis of rotation (XX), blades (18) extending radially outward from the hub and a profiled ring (22) connecting the outer ends (20) of the blades (18), said profiled ring having an annular wall (24) intended to come opposite an annular edge (30) of a fan shroud (26). The annular wall (24) of the profiled ring (22) has a flat or frusto-conical shape which, when viewed as a radial section, forms an acute angle of between 0° and 60° relative to a plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation (XX).
