PURPOSE: A display assembly and an apparatus are provided to display a three-dimensional image by finishing a power activation cycle when an image presentation timing cycle is finished. CONSTITUTION: A backlight assembly(134) includes a lighting source. A backlight controller starts a power activation cycle when an image presentation timing cycle is started. A logic finishes the power activation cycle when the image presentation timing cycle is finished. A first register(150) defines the emission intensity of the backlight during an image update timing cycle. A second register(152) defines a duty cycle of the backlight during a VBlank period.
