<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration measuring apparatus and a vibration measuring method which can measure vibrations of a ball screw device with high precision in accordance with an actual use state, and can correct the ball screw device easily even after measurement. <P>SOLUTION: The vibration measuring apparatus 30 includes: a drive unit 31 for rotationally driving a ball screw nut 20 mounted to a rack shaft 3 so as to be threaded; a vibration pick 32 for detecting vibrations generated in the ball screw device 11 in an operating state that the ball screw nut 20 rotates; and an analyzer 33 for analyzing the output signal of the vibration pick 32. The ball screw nut 20 is rotationally driven integrally with a retainer 40 installed on the outer circumferential surface. A shaft washer 45a of a ball bearing 45 is fixed to the retainer 40.
