<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bead breaking unit for a tire exchanger. <P>SOLUTION: The bead breaking unit 1 for the tire exchanger has an arm 2 including a first end 2a which is rotatably supported by a support structure 3 and a second end 2b which has a bead breaking tool 4. The arm is operated by an actuator means 6 which has a movable element 7 suitable for reciprocating between a position wherein the bead breaking tool is at a distance from the support structure and a work position wherein the bead breaking tool is in the vicinity of the support structure, and the driving means 10 for driving the arm. The driving means has means 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 for temporarily coupling the movable element with the arm so that the arm is moved toward the work position, and is moved to the position distant from the work position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
