<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of detecting a touch to a touch panel that achieves stress-free operation by eliminating discomfort when an operator uses a Pressed-Cap type touch panel. <P>SOLUTION: The touch panel device includes a touch determination part (10). The touch determination part (10) detects a touch position when a value of capacitance varying by pressing force applied to a glass face becomes a predetermined threshold or below. The touch panel device also includes: a peak decision part (10) calculating a peak value of the value of the capacitance; and a threshold value control part (20) calculating a threshold value with hysteresis as a latest threshold value based on the peak value calculated in the peak decision part. The touch determination part (10) executes threshold value processing by use of the latest threshold value calculated in the threshold value control part as the prescribed threshold value to detect the touch position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
