PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a freestanding manual lifting screen device which is small in volume, light in weight, and portable, and also is easily operated. SOLUTION: The screen device includes: a casing 3 whose upper surface side is made open; a reel 31 which is disposed inside the casing and energized to rotate in one direction; a screen 2 which has flexibility and is wound round the reel; an upper cover 6 which locks an upper end of the screen; a telescopic boom 17 which is disposed between the casing and the cover 6 on a rear surface side of the screen; a meshing part 8 which is provided in a center part of the cover 6; a part to be meshed 9 which is provided on the casing side and meshed with the meshing part 8 when the screen and the telescopic boom are housed in the casing; and a support leg 16 which is provided on a lower surface of the casing, and rotates backward relative to the casing and supports the device in a spread state of the screen put on an installation surface F may not be inclined backward.
