Provided is a technology whereby in a striking tool, a handle can be made vibration-proof while striking tool is kept from becoming large. The aforementioned striking tool comprises a tool body section (103) wherein are housed striking mechanisms (113, 115) that drives a tool bit (119) in the long axis direction, and a motor (111) that drives the striking mechanisms (113, 115); an outer shell housing (102) which covers part of the tool body section (103); the handle (109) which is integrally formed in the outer shell housing (102) and extends in such a way as to intersect with the long axis direction of the tool bit (119); a first handle end (109B) which is disposed at one extension end of the handle (109); a second handle end (109C) which is disposed at the other extension end of the handle (109); a first elastic body (131) which connects the first handle end (109B) to the tool body section (103) in such a way as to permit relative movement in the long axis direction of the tool bit (119); and a second elastic body (165) which connects the second handle end (109C) to the tool body section (103) in such a way as to permit relative movement in the long axis direction of the tool bit (119). |
