The present invention relates to an internal combustion engine incorporating an exhaust gas recirculation device comprising an air supply path (6) equipped with a compressor (2), an exhaust path with a turbine (4), an exhaust gas treatment device, a recirculation line (7) for recirculating the exhaust gases at low pressure, a coupling (8) allowing recirculating exhaust gases to be introduced into the air supply path (6) upstream of the compressor (2), and such that, according to the invention, the coupling (8) incorporates a filtering element placed in the path of the recirculating exhaust gases so that the recirculating exhaust gases can be filtered and so that turbulence can be created in the stream of gas so as to improve uniformity of the mixture between the fresh air and the recirculated exhaust gases. |
