PURPOSE: A vertical casting device and casting method using the same are provided to enhance the quality of piece by preventing damage to the surface of a cooling mold using a fixed cooling mold. CONSTITUTION: A vertical casting device comprises a cooling mold(110), a support(130), a solidifying unit(170), a magnetic-filed applying unit(120) and a cooling unit. The cooling mold holds molten metals. The support supports pieces falling down the cooling mold. The solidifying unit is installed right under the cooling mold to cool the pieces. The magnetic-filed applying unit is vertically driven along the piece outside the cooling mold and agitates and induction-heats ingot steel and pieces. The cooling unit is vertically driven along the piece right under the solidifying unit.
