PURPOSE: An image display device and an image setup method thereof are provided to select a presently displayed watching environment while directly watching a capture screen stored with an image quality setup value. CONSTITUTION: If an image quality setup request signal is inputted, a controller displays a capture screen list in a display unit(S501,S502). A user moves a captured static image list or selects a captured static image with a menu bar function in the capture screen list(S503). The controller reads a image quality setup value set to the selected static image(S504). The controller establishes the image quality setup value as a present watching environment value(S505).
