<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the physical size of a motor and an inverter power supply used in an electric vehicle, while obtaining a torque and an output which is equivalent to those of conventional types. <P>SOLUTION: A cooling system for an electric vehicle includes a refrigerant circulation passage 6, that carries out circulation of a cooling medium in electrically driving means 1, 2 for electrically driving a vehicle; a heat-exchanging means 3 for exchanging the heat between the cooling medium and the outside air; a refrigerant circulation means 5 for circulating the cooling medium, between the heat-exchanging means 3 and the electrically driving means 1, 2 via the refrigerant circulation passage 6; an air-blowing means 4 for blowing air against the heat-exchanging means 3; and a control means 23, that controls the refrigerant circulation means 5 and the air-blowing means 4 to control the cooling of the electric driving means 1, 2. When the driving force of a vehicle by the electric driving means 1, 2 lies in a first operation region, the control means 23 controls the refrigerant circulation means 5 and the air-blowing means 4 in a first cooling mode; and when the driving force of the vehicle by the electrically driving means 1, 2 is in a second operation region higher than the first operation region, the control means controls the refrigerant circulation means 5 and the air-blowing means 4, in a second cooling mode that has cooling performance higher than that of the first cooling mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
