摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength conversion apparatus for converting infrared ray into visible light by the change of a refractive index. <P>SOLUTION: A first Bragg light reflecting layer 10 is configured such that 21 layers of a layer 11 whose film thickness is 132.8 nm and which are made of silica having refractive index of 1.45 and 20 layers of a layer 12 whose film thickness is 83.7 nm and which are made of titania having refractive index of 2.3 are alternately stacked; and acts as a Bragg reflecting layer with respect to light having a wavelength of 667 to 909 nm. A second Bragg light reflecting layer 20 is configured such that 21 layers of the layer 21 whose film thickness is 137.9 nm and which are made of silica having refractive index of 1.45 and 20 layers of the layer 22 whose film thickness is 87.0 nm and which are made of titania having refractive index of 2.3 are alternately stacked; and acts as a Bragg reflecting layer with respect to light having a wavelength of 694 to 943 nm. An intermediate layer 30 has an initial refractive index of 3.64×10<SP>-4</SP>, and the infrared ray having a wavelength of 909 nm can be converted into visible light having a wavelength of 690 nm by changing the initial refractive index into a refractive index of 0.92×10<SP>-4</SP>per one nanosecond. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p>
