PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power steering device which is designed to at least suppress the leakage of hydraulic fluid in between two pressure chambers of a power cylinder by improving the degree of roundness of the inner circumferential surface of a cylinder tube. SOLUTION: After brackets 9 for fixing a cylinder tube 3 onto a vehicle body have been welded on the cylinder tube 3, a cutting area A2 is set within the range of the cylinder tube 3 in the axial direction thereof, so as to include welded sections W1, W2 of brackets 9. Within this cutting area A2, an inner circumferential surface 3a of the cylinder tube is subjected to cutting work, so that projections caused on the inner circumferential surface 3a of the cylinder tube by the welding strain are eliminated.
