PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply and accurately determining the quantities of carotenoid such as β-cryptoxanthin contained in citrus fruits, etc. SOLUTION: Work is facilitated and errors in measured values are reduced by using an internal standard such as lycopene or retinal.
