Disclosed is a positive electrode for a secondary battery, which comprises, on a collector, a positive electrode active material layer that contains a positive electrode active material and a binder. The positive electrode active material is composed of a lithium ferrite complex oxide that has a specific composition and a layered rock salt structure. The binder is composed of a polymer that contains a polymerization unit of a (meth)acrylate monomer, a polymerization unit of a vinyl monomer having an acid component, and a polymerization unit of an a,ß-unsaturated nitrile monomer. The content of the polymerization unit of a vinyl monomer having an acid component is 1.0-3.0% by weight of the total polymerization units in the polymer.
