The present invention relates to a ventricular assist device assisting the ventricular function by ejecting blood. The device of the present invention comprises a case, a pair of blood bags, and a compressor. The pair of blood bags, included in the interior of a case, respectively comprises an inlet which is connected with the ventricle of heart and creates an inflow of blood from the ventricle; an interior space storing the blood flowed in through the inlet; and an outlet which is connected to the aorta and flows out the blood stored in the interior space, wherein the volume of the interior space varies. A compressor included in the interior of the case compresses a pair of blood bags, in turns, in the manner that on compressing one of the blood bags, the other would expand, thereby, the blood stored in one of the blood bags which is to be compressed would be flowed to the other blood bag, and then the blood would be flowed into the other blood bag to be expanded. |
