According to the present invention, an apparatus for measuring the size and location of a ship block using a basic information collecting apparatus comprises: a combination of a basic information collecting apparatus and a ship block size and location measuring system. The basic information collecting apparatus comprises an orientation angle sensor, a laser range finder, a radiofrequency identification (RFID) reader and a main printed circuit board. The main printed circuit board comprises a main control module for controlling the operations of the orientation angle sensor, the laser range finder, and the RFID reader, collecting signals inputted by the orientation angle sensor, the laser range finder, and the RFID reader, and outputting the collected signals to the ship block size and location measuring system; and a power supply module for supplying power to the basic information collecting apparatus and the ship block size and location measuring system.
