<p>The present invention provides a method for implementing fast reroute. The method mainly includes: on the control layer of a route device, configuring a path information table including the state identifiers of a main path and a standby path and a forwarding table for each traffic stream borne on the main path, and associating the forwarding table for each traffic stream with the path information table (101); when a fault on the main path is detected, setting the state identifiers in the path information table as that the standby path is valid, switching each traffic stream to the standby path and forwarding it (102). Furthermore, the present invention also provides an apparatus for implementing fast reroute. Through the invention, not only the work load of the route device can be greatly reduced, the time required for switching paths can be greatly shortened, the work efficiency of the route device is effectively improved, but also the table item resources in the route device can be greatly saved.</p> |
