<p>A differential device for a vehicle, configured so that a drive shaft bearing section can be lubricated efficiently. An oil sump member (46) provided with an insertion hole (46h), through which a drive shaft (36l) is inserted, is provided on the opposite side of a bearing (22) from a differential case (26). The insertion hole (46h) is formed so that the gap between the insertion hole (46h) and the drive shaft (36l) is greater at at least a portion of the insertion hole (46h) than at a portion thereof which is vertically below the rotation center axis (C) of the drive shaft (36l). The configuration makes it possible that the oil sump member (46) prevents oil supplied to the lower side of the drive shaft (36l) from being excessively absorbed into the bearing (22), and a sufficient amount of the oil can be supplied between the drive shaft (36l) and a through-hole (44l) of the differential case (26) by the guide by the oil sump member (46).</p> |
