Preparing polysulfonic acid compounds (I), comprises: e.g. (a1) reacting polyhalo compounds (II) with metal sulfur compounds (III) in the presence of reducing agent and a solvent, to give polythiol compounds (IV), or (a2) reacting polyhydroxy compounds (V) with phosphorous-sulfur reagents, or reacting (V) with thiourea or thioacetic acid or its salts, to give (IV); and (b1) directly reacting (IV) with an oxidizing agent in a polar-protic solvent or its mixture to obtain (I). Preparing polysulfonic acid compounds of formula (A-(SO 3H) n) (I), comprises: (a1) reacting polyhalo compounds of formula (A-(X) n) (II) with metal sulfur compounds of formula (MSR) (III) in the presence of reducing agent and in the presence of a solvent, to give polythiol compounds of formula (A-(SH) n) (IV), or (a2) reacting polyhydroxy compounds of formula (A-(OH) n) (V) with phosphorous-sulfur reagents, or reacting (V) with thiourea or thioacetic acid or its salts, to give (IV), or (a3) reacting (V) with N,N-dialkylthiocarbamoylchloride compounds of formula (Cl-C(=S)-NR 2) (VI) to give thiocarbamide acid-O-ester compounds of formula (A-(O-C(=S)-NR 2) n) (VII), converting (VII) to give thiocarbamide acid-S-ester of formula (A-(S-C(=O)-NR 2) n) (VIII) and optionally saponifying (VII) with alkaline reagents to give (IV); and (b1) directly reacting (IV) obtained in the steps (a1) or (a2) or (a3) with an oxidizing agent in a polar-protic solvent or its mixture to obtain (I), or (b2) reacting (IV) obtained in the steps (a1) or (a2) or (a3) or (VIII) obtained in (a3) with N-haloamide or N-haloimide to obtain polysulfonic acid halide compounds of formula (A-(SO 2X1) n) (IX), and hydrolyzing (IX) to obtain (I). A : aryl, alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl, alkaryl, alkenyl or alkynyl; n : 2-6, preferably 2-4; X : F, Cl, Br or I; M : alkali metal; R : aliphatic hydrocarbon residue; and X1 : Cl, Br or I. Independent claims are included for: (1) the use of (I) for producing homoleptic metal-organic framework compounds, in which metallic junctions are connected by organic linkers to form a porous scaffold, where the linker is the organic polyanions of (I); and (2) the homoleptic metal-organic framework compounds.
|
