<p>The device (1) has a closure head (2) supporting a closure (12), which is rotated with respect to a container (10) by a rotation drive (4) i.e. servomotor. A distance determining device (14) determines distance between a mouth of the container and the closure in a longitudinal direction of the container during a closing process. A processor device (16) determines a closed state of the closure against the container. A pretensioning device (18) pretensions the closure in the longitudinal direction from the mouth of the container during the closing process. An independent claim is also included for a method for closing containers.</p> |
