PURPOSE: A system and method for calculating carbon emission reduction using transportation card usage information are provided to enable general public to actively participate in greenhouse-gas reduction campaign. CONSTITUTION: A wireless terminal(100) transmits public transportation information through a wireless communication network. If the public transportation use information is received from the wireless terminal, a carbon emission reduction quantity calculating server(200) calculates the carbon exhaustion reduction amount based on the public transportation information. The carbon exhaustion reduction amount calculating server stores the public transportation information to a wireless terminal user.
