An anchor formation (1) for retention in a building structure is described comprising: a generally flat elongate received portion (R) adapted to be received in a building structure; a projecting portion (P) adapted to project beyond the structure when the receiving portion is so received, and comprising at least one stabilising formation (7, 9) projecting out of the plane of the projecting structure. A two-part wall tie assembly (1, 11) including such an anchor formation and a masonry wall structure tied by the wall tie are also described.
