PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling drive of a vehicle air conditioner compressor is provided to stabilize the operation of a variable compressor and prevent negative influence on a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling drive of a vehicle air conditioner compressor comprises an indicator(12), a delay unit(14), and a controller(18). The indicator indicates a time from when an air-conditioner switch is turned off to when the air-conditioner switch is turned off. The delay unit delays the drive of the compressor for a predetermined time based on an input drive delay controlling signal. The controller determines whether or not the time is in a predetermined time based on an indication signal from the indicator. When the time is in the predetermined time, the controller provides the drive delay controlling signal to the delay unit.
