The device has a cylindrical tool (44) with a peripheral tooth (45) formed of series of cutting teeth (46). The tool is fixed at an end of a cutting tool arbor (39) moving orbitally around a fixed axis (37). Double articulation joints (47, 48) connect rear end of the arbor to a chassis (30) to stop the rotation of the arbor around its axis. A relative displacement unit relatively moves the cylinder and the shaft in axial translation. - The tool is axially inserted into a boring of a master brake cylinder. Independent claims are also included for the following: - (A) utilization of a device for machining brake fluid passage grooves in internal cylindrical faces of master brake cylinder for motor vehicle - (B) a master brake cylinder for the motor vehicle.
