A polyphase stator or rotor is wound by first winding a winding on a mandrel with a number of discrete coils equal to the number of coils per phase, placing one side of each coil in the bottom part of appropriate slots with alternate coils reversed, repeating this process for each of the phases, until all the slot-bottoms are full, and then laying down all the coils to fill the tops of the slots. |
